New CMO appointed as transformational membrane technologies launched commercially
We have expanded our executive management team with the appointment of Andrew Walker as Chief Marketing Officer. Andrew joins Craig Clement (Chief Operating Officer) and Chris Wyres (Chief Executive Officer) to take on a leading role in the launch of our first generation of filtration products.

Filtering the unfilterable
We’re joining the Aquatech online session on notable innovations in industrial water treatment on September 21. The goal of the session will be to help answer the question: “Will the continued evolution of filtration technologies, including membranes, enable previously seen ‘unfilterable’ wastewaters to be filtered, reduce the efforts for treatment chemicals and energy significantly, and unlock water reuse applications?”

Membrane technology business accelerating growth plans
We have recently completed an equity funding round, attracting new and existing investors to back the business and accelerate growth. The capital will be used to pursue new opportunities and speed up product prototyping and industrial testing.

G2O expands research and development team
Our research and development team has expanded with two new appointments. Claire Ashworth and Keir Quiligotti join the team as Laboratory Technicians and will be supporting product development.

GO Membranes project develops low cost water purification system using graphene oxide based coating technology
We are collaborating on a project with Unilever and William Blythe to develop a scalable water purification process using graphene oxide. The process is designed for use in next generation point-of-use water purification systems.

G2O COO to speak on meeting the decarbonisation challenge with the Carbon Trust
Chief Operating Officer Craig Clement has been invited to speak on the second of the Carbon Trust’s three-part webinar series, the second in a three part series, “Meeting the decarbonisation challenge: Bringing energy efficiency technology innovation to industry”.

G2O move into TechSpace One – Daresbury
The new office and laboratory will provide access to world-class facilities and talent, as well as improved testing and development capabilities.

G2O secures £450,000 of government funding for a commercial industrial laundry demonstration project
The project is focused on the recycling of heated wastewater in the industrial laundry sector and is a collaboration with Hydrasyst Membranes UK and Johnsons Textile Services, the market leader in the industrial laundry sector in the UK. The project aims to deliver major energy and cost savings through pioneering new technology.

G2O appoints three Teesside University placement students
Teesside University science students are offered the opportunity to work in industry during their third year of study. Helena Driffill-Agar, Michael Cardoso and Mark Parker joined G2O over summer 2020 to develop their professional skills whilst adding value to the business.

Graphene technology firm set to revolutionise water filtration market
G2O was established following many years of research into how 2D nano materials, and in particular graphene, can reduce the cost and increase the performance of water filtration. Our graphene oxide membrane coating can be used to improve both the flux and rejection rates of new and existing filtration systems.
